Biking was great but seeing the landscapes first hand was amazing. The vineyards, olive trees, goats, cows and sheep were fantastic. Perhaps you should warn riders about aggressive herding dogs to be aware and what to do. We were chased a few times. The food, wine and people were great. Antonio welcomed us on the first day and was fantastic . Very enjoyable and hospitable. It was like we had been friends for years.

The routes that were chosen were excellent . We thoroughly enjoyed our self guided bike trip through Sicily. The team at Siciclando did an outstanding job of picking roads that were beautiful, interesting and quiet. Each day they had arranged some kind of fun cultural activity (eg wine tasting, chocolate sampling or historic walking tour) each day. All of the logistics were thoughtfully handled from the moment we were met at the airport to the moment we left the bikes at our last stop.

Overall, the tour met our requirements and exceeded our expectations! Dario listened to us and our guide, Valentin, followed through to make the whole trip exceptional and truly memorable.One of the reasons we booked with Siciclando was Dario's commitment to meeting our dietary needs -- we're vegan. By assigning Valentin, a vegan, to be out guide we were totally taken care of.Being able to to see Sicily on a bike, stopping in villages and talking to people, eating great food, seeing the cultural and historical sites, touring the Aeolian Islands - there isn't one single thing - we loved the whole experience!
