Croatia is one of our exciting locations outside of Italy.
We set off on our first tour in Croatia in 2019, and it was a big success. As we know, though, in 2020, our lives changed drastically, and we didn't go on tour in Croatia again until last summer. Last summer's trip was also great, and we are excited to announce it as an option for future tours. For years, we had our eye on Croatia as a possible expansion destination beyond Italy, and after thorough research and scouting, we found that it met all of our key criteria.
One such requirement we have when scouting locations for possible bike tours is cyclability. Is it safe and enjoyable to cycle in the area? Can you move easily between interesting places by bike? The answer to these questions in Croatia is a resounding yes. The Split to Dubrovnik route has become a world-renowned destination for cyclists, and for good reason. It offers that perfect combination of stunning landscapes, rich history, and fantastic cycling routes.
The routes along the Dalmatian coast offer breathtaking views. Imagine biking hilly roads that crest high above a deep blue sea, with incredible views over the Adriatic. The rides themselves are a great mix of challenging hills and smoother, flatter coastal areas. The variety keeps things interesting, and the views make the hard climbs worth your while.

Beyond the incredible landscapes, Croatia is a treasure trove of culture and history. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to explore charming medieval towns, each with its own unique character and stories to tell. From the ancient walled city of Dubrovnik to the picturesque coastal villages that seem frozen in time, you will be immersed in a world of cobblestone streets, centuries-old architecture, and vibrant local traditions.
Croatia's culinary scene is another highlight of the journey. Indulge in fresh seafood, locally produced olive oils, and exquisite wines that reflect the region's Mediterranean heritage. We have tested a variety of tour ingredients that will immerse you in the local flavors and traditions. From great restaurants to konobas (traditional taverns), we have wonderful recommendations, including a cooking class that explores local dishes.
